About the product
Bergamot is a small citrus fruit. Our bergamot oil is obtained by cold pressing the peel of the Citrus bergamia fruits. The extracted oil is greenish-yellow in color. The aroma is characterized as fresh, citrus with faint sweet floral notes.
In Aromatherapy bergamot oil is used to uplift the mood, helps deal with gloomy thoughts and helps a person to achieve emotional balance. Bergamot oil is known as a strong antiseptic. It has positive effect on infections such as cold and flu. Bergamot oil blends well with frankincense oil, sandalwood, rose, geranium, ylang-ylang and other citrus aromas.
Contraindications: The oil contains the furocoumarin compound bergapten – a highly photosensitive ingredient. After topical use, wait 12 hours before exposure to strong UV or sunlight. We recommend a maximum dilution of 1-2% in vegetable oil (hemp oil, grape seed oil) for topical application to the skin. Store in a dry and cool place away from direct sunlight and out of reach of children. Do not use undiluted on the skin! Do not use during pregnancy, epilepsy, and to children under 6 years old without first consulting a physician. Test for individual tolerability. Origin – Italy; 10 ml
