INSPIRATION/CREATION

Loose fitting jacket of pure wool which has been dyed a vivid magenta; lightweight but with a densely woven texture. The sailor collar features tasselled points, and along with the military style pocket flaps are stitched over with remnants of vintage French lace in navy blue.

There is a pleated ruffle along the hem giving balance and weight. The sleeves which are embellished with “naval rank stripes” of grosgrain ribbon and vintage woven braid, have a small embroidered Peace logo and appliquéd heart. The jacket is fully lined with a rich blue satin. Unique vintage metal “Queen” buttons complete the romantic vision with historical grace.
