INSPIRATION/CREATION

A draped version of the Iconic Petticoat/Slip-Dress. The name alludes to the cows emblazoned on the silk bra-cups, made from a man’s silk tie which was a promotion item from a Chicago Steak House. These Peace-loving animals will never be on my menu…here I have sculpted them into the bra of the dress and they will forever be gazing at you with a smile.  

 The neck-line is edged with contrast picot/piping, grosgrain ribbon shoulder straps (which can easily be adjusted in length by a tailor) are secured by diamanté shoe buckles. There is an invisible zipper closing at centre back, and a back hem split for ease of movement and style. The draped body of the dress is cut from a fine wool blend/men’s suit fabric. Note that there is a featured fabric provenance band at the hem, this is always woven into the selvedge of quality wool fabrics.The dress is fully lined.

° Satin lining, synthetic °piping edging 

° Invisible zipper, nylon 

° Diamanté/metal shoe buckles

CARE:

° Dry-clean only

° Iron/steam as for wool and silk
