Drawing my idea from Spanish Flamenco ruffles combined with a type of Coat/Robe that is called an Abaya and is worn by many women in the Middle East as a type of cover-up over a dress. I am intrigued by a combination of cultures and how it contributes to a new futuristic world.

INSPIRATION/CREATION
The inspiration comes from Spanish Flamenco ruffles, combined with a type of coat called an Abaya, which is worn by many women in the Middle East as an outer layer/cover-up over a dress. I am intrigued by a combination of cultures and how this can contribute to a new futuristic world.
This coat is fully lined, with the sleeves being of contrasting polka- dot silk. The front is closed with grosgrain ribbon ties. The fit is loose and flowing, and the fabric has a soft drape.
