Iron Roots | Sweater – Deep Sea Blue

This sweater is made from a durable mix of hemp and organic cotton, which makes it both comfortable and a great wardrobe piece for any occasion. The regular fit makes sure that you can move freely during your workout and look great to grab a coffee with your friends afterwards.

The deepsea blue color reflects our respect for the oceans and we have added some subtle, staple Iron Roots embroideries to finish off the design.

Sizing and Fit

This sweater has a regular fit which means that it runs larger. If you prefer a tighter fit, we suggest picking a size smaller than your usual size.

Our model is 165 cm / 5’5″ and is wearing size XS.

Materials and Care

This sweater is made from 30% hemp and 70% organic cotton, which has been processed into a custom fleece fabric. This fabric and design combination is called AT67.Hemp.

All of our products are made with materials from natural origin, which don’t need as harsh cleaning treatments as other, synthetic sportswear. We suggest the following care instructions for all of our products, to ensure that they will keep their performance and last longer.

▪ Wash at 30 degrees.
▪ Don’t tumble dry.
▪ Don’t use bleach.
▪ Iron with medium heat.
▪ Wash with the same colors.
▪ Fabrics from natural origin can shrink a little bit after washing them, which we have taken into account with our sizing.

Production

This product is designed in our headquarters in The Netherlands. We produce our sportswear locally (within Europe), to ensure sustainability, responsible sourcing, and ethical production. This product is produced at our factory in Greece. Our factory has GOTS and SMETA certifications, and we visit them on a regular basis. Besides that, we work with them to source our raw materials, yarns, and fabrics from European countries, which is something we are very dedicated to at Iron Roots.

Hemp
Hemp is one of the most sustainable fibers that can be used for clothing. It requires up to 70% less energy when compared to polyester and up to 75% less water and land when compared to regular cotton. Our hemp is sourced from Turkey and further processed in Greece.

Organic Cotton
Our organic cotton is GOTS certified and sourced within Europe. By having the GOTS certificate, we can ensure that our cotton has been grown responsibly and with ethical circumstances for the people involved in the processing of our organic cotton.

Chemicals

This product and the dyes used to create it are both OEKO-TEX certified, which means that it has been thoroughly tested for harmful chemicals throughout the supply chain. That is how we create healthy, BPA-free sportswear.
